Adding and Managing Products

Create compelling product listings that attract customers and drive sales.

Creating a New Product

Basic Information

  1. Navigate to Products > Add New
  2. Enter product details:
    • Product Name: Clear, descriptive title
    • Description: Detailed information about the product
    • Price: Set your selling price
    • Compare at Price: Optional original price for showing discounts

Product Images

Add high-quality photos:

  • Upload up to 10 images per product
  • First image becomes the main product photo
  • Drag to reorder images
  • Recommended size: 1200x1200 pixels
  • Supported formats: JPG, PNG, WebP

Product Variants

Create options like size, color, or material:

  1. Enable "This product has variants"
  2. Add option names (Size, Color, etc.)
  3. Add option values (Small, Medium, Large)
  4. Set prices and SKUs for each variant
  5. Upload specific images for variants

Categories and Tags

Organize your products:

  • Assign to one or more categories
  • Add tags for easier searching
  • Use consistent naming conventions

Managing Inventory

Stock Tracking

Keep track of your inventory:

  • Enable "Track inventory" for the product
  • Set initial stock quantity
  • Choose whether to continue selling when out of stock
  • Set low stock alerts

SKU and Barcodes

For inventory management:

  • Assign unique SKU (Stock Keeping Unit)
  • Add barcode numbers if applicable
  • Use consistent SKU format across products

Product Visibility

Control who can see your products:

  • Active: Visible in your store
  • Draft: Hidden, work in progress
  • Archived: Hidden but preserved

Bulk Actions

Manage multiple products at once:

  • Select products from your product list
  • Choose bulk action (edit price, category, visibility)
  • Apply changes to all selected

Improve product discoverability:

  • Write compelling titles (60 characters or less)
  • Create detailed descriptions
  • Add alt text to images
