Product categories help customers navigate your store and find what they're looking for quickly.
Creating Categories
Adding a New Category
- Go to Products > Categories
- Click "Add Category"
- Enter category details:
- Name: Clear, descriptive category name
- Slug: URL-friendly version (auto-generated)
- Description: Brief explanation of category contents
- Image: Optional category banner image
Parent and Child Categories
Create hierarchical organization:
- Parent Categories: Top-level categories (e.g., "Clothing")
- Child Categories: Subcategories (e.g., "T-Shirts", "Jeans")
- Select parent when creating child category
- Up to 3 levels of hierarchy supported

Modify existing categories:
- Update name and description
- Change category image
- Reorder categories by dragging
